Designing and being creative has always been a passion in Sarah's life. Growing up, Sarsh's mom and her kept a house binder. Each room had its own section, full of current and past paint colors, wallpapers, photos, and scaled floor plans to help with furniture arrangements. Her creativity and organization allowed for the impossible to seem possible.
Sarah finds it rewarding to see projects from initial concepts to final design. "It’s really satisfying to see projects come together and to see the joy brought by work well done."
Sarah graduated in May 2023 with an associate degree in interior design from Metropolitan Community College. She has always been interested in sustainability for all aspects of life, so she jumped at the chance when a Sustainable Design course was offered at Metro. "It was amazing to learn about all the different opportunities we have now to be more sustainable and conscious in our choices. With the ever-growing technologies we have, being sustainable is more practical and achievable than ever before."
Helping with space planning and selection of furnishings are among Sarah's key responsibilities in her role as design assistant to Lisa. Creating 3D renderings of products, keeping our showroom organized and up to date, as well as talking with vendors to learn about product specifications are just a part of my daily activities.
